General Laparoscopic & Surgery

Laparoscopic surgery builds on the fundamental principles of open surgery but incorporates special techniques and maneuvers for situations where surgeons operate through a small opening. Unlike open surgery, the organs cannot be manipulated manually, and the entire procedure is viewed on a video screen rather than through the wounds.

The MJ Hospital boasts a well-organized and coordinated team of senior laparoscopic surgeons, anesthetists, technicians, and nurses. Besides Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, the team performs various procedures such as hernia repairs, appendectomies, intestinal resections, treatment of benign liver lesions, rectopexy, hiatus hernia repair, splenectomy, and metabolic and weight loss surgeries.

The department is recognized as a center of excellence for laparoscopic hernia surgery and stapler surgery for hemorrhoids.

Additionally, the Department of Laparoscopic Surgery provides training for doctors, nursing staff, technicians, and other relevant personnel, contributing to the advancement of the medical community.
